Edit

Rebuild nested JSON from dotted keys

POST/v1/edit/json/unflatten

View as Markdown

Rebuilds the nested document from keys made by flatten. Consecutive numeric parts (0, 1, 2) become arrays. Ambiguous input (a gap in the positions, a key that is both a value and a container, numbers mixed with names) is refused with a message.

Request body

Name Type Required Description
flat object yes Flattened keys such as customer.address.city or items.0.name
separator string no Text between the parts of a key (default ".")

Example request

A request body that works, as JSON.

{
  "flat": {
    "customer.name": "Ana",
    "customer.address.city": "Porto",
    "items.0.id": "A1",
    "items.0.qty": 2,
    "items.1.id": "B2",
    "items.1.qty": 1
  }
}

Responses

Status When it happens
200 Successful Response
400 The body respects the operation schema, but the use case rejected it. Each problem is one ApiError entry
413 The request is larger than the request size limit of the API allows
422 The body does not respect the operation schema. Each problem is one ApiError entry with the code validation_error
500 Something failed inside the server and was not an input problem. The same envelope, errors may be empty
