The sardine's website has been suffering from something that I can only describe as neglect. I have been focusing my energies on the Main Site so this one always ends up being left to the side, meaning that I haven't posted on it, updated it or even kept it for more than a few months.
Actually this site was created and re-created more times than I can admit and the last iteration was something of a static website that I created quickly just to have a site for the company, but never something that was good.
This needed to change and that's exactly what I did, so let's take a look at what changed.
What changed?
A lot has changed but let's focus on the highlights.
No more Wordpress
I've been teasing this for a while and everyone knows that I'm not happy at all with the way that Wordpress is being managed. Wordpress itself served me for a while but now I needed a lot more, as you'll see in the coming months, so the timing was right and I left it behind.
It's of course a lot of work to build a new site from zero, so it's possible that there are mistakes or things that don't work yet 100%. If you find them please send me an email and I'll be happy to fix them.
New sections
One thing that everyone who knows me told me is that I should publicize the things that I do. I don't only do development in Power Automate—there are a lot more things that I can help you with. So why not feature them? We now have 3 sections:
- Automation continues to be the service that I provide in case you need help in Power Automate or any other Office 365 related tasks
- Custom Development - I do this for a lot of clients but they only find out when they talk with me. Power Automate doesn't do everything, so we can develop the additional things that you need and adjust things to your needs.
- Project Management - I've done this for a lot of years and this is something that I can help with as well. I am a developer, so this gives me a huge advantage because I know what development teams are talking about. This makes things easier when it comes to management. Of course, this is not limited to development projects—if you need help organizing your ideas, even if you're a single freelancer, send me an email and let's talk.
New areas
So now you can book time directly without needing to send me an email, by scheduling a call. This is a way for us to talk and discuss your project without having to exchange emails back and forth. But if you already know what you need you can ask for an estimation directly on the site. Just provide a few details and I'll get back to you with a rough estimation and strategy on what it may cost and how we could approach this. It's not a formal proposal, since I will only have a few details, but it's a good way for you to get the information as fast as possible.
Motivation
I learn by doing. I can't watch a talk or a YouTube video and know what to do. I need to start digging and figure things out, so this site was an amazing learning opportunity. This will allow me to learn a bit more and by doing this I can help you build the projects that you need. It's a win-win situation.
So think of this as full service. Organization, Development and Automation all in one package. If you're interested, schedule a call and let's talk about your needs and projects.
Final Thoughts
Like I mentioned there are still a few rough edges but things will improve over time, but at least now I have a good infrastructure to start working that allows me to grow and experiment.
Feedback is welcome, so anything that you want to tell me, just feel free to send me an email and we can talk.
